Long has the relationship between Acquia and Lando been a love that dare not speak its own name. It was a tryst rumored in hallways at Drupal camps, a romance that existed in our hearts, but never in the comforting solidity of code. Today, we're proud to announce that the romance is official: Acquia has sponsored a formal Lando integration. PHP. 7.4 is coming to an end of life on October 2022. You have a few options to keep your application secure. Originally from Drupal.org aggregator https://ift.tt/Q16awNp Did you know that Automatic Updates are in the works for Drupal 9/10 as a contributed module? The module applies patch-level updates to Drupal core in a separate, sandboxed copy of your site, to keep you up and running until the update is completely ready to be deployed. It can detect and report problems at every stage of the update process, so you don't have to find out about them after an update is live. It automatically detects database updates in an incoming update, and helps you run them during the process. Originally from Drupal.org aggregator https://ift.tt/LyuPbBq

One of Drupal's biggest strengths is the ability to define structured content, then display and edit it in a variety of ways without duplicating development or design work. "Display Modes" have always been a big part of that power. One piece of content can be displayed as a Teaser, as a Full Page, as a Search Result, and so on — each with its own markup and field presentation. That meant PhpStorm couldn't give me hints about what parameters the ' I discovered this is probably because the doxygen for the return type of Instead, if I change my code to the following, PhpStorm suddenly understands what the service is, so it can help me code more easily!
This is barely any more code, but suddenly I can click into the definition of the Here's how it actually looks for me, demonstrating the inline parameter hint, and with PhpStorm's 'Quick documentation' tooltip opened (press F1 to get this). Is this a new pattern we should all start using more? The field comes with an autocomplete widget that will enable you to search and select other entities. When you search for items to reference, just the titles are returned and in most cases, this is enough. But when you have lots of content with similar titles using the autocomplete widget becomes problematic because it’ll return similar results. We can customize what is returned in the autocomplete widget using the Views module. No extra modules are required. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use Views to change the autocomplete results.
